TVF International Secures Raft of Deals in CEE

TVF International has confirmed a slew of sales from its recent catalog across Central and Eastern Europe, including for US & China: When Titans Clash.

A Mediacorp production, the four-part docuseries US & China: When Titans Clash was picked up by the National Geographic channel for Poland, Hungary and Romania. Meanwhile, the pay-TV operator Canal+ Polska acquired Mediacorp’s Asia’s Ancient Civilisations, as well as Underwater Universe of the Orda Cave from NHK and A Slow Odyssey: The Great Wall of China from Heart & Soul Films.

LRT, ERR, Česká televize and TVN are among the broadcasters to have picked up 9/11: Escape from the Impact Zone, produced by Testimony Films for Channel 5. BBC Studios, meanwhile, snapped up the Channel 4-commissioned Jimmy’s Big Bee Rescue from Red Sky Productions for their BBC Earth channel in Poland, and Polsat acquired a package including Mediacorp’s Deciphering Japan and Japan from Above from Tokyovision.

Also in Poland, Idea Ventures licensed more than 50 hours of health and food programming, including Tern TV’s series Inside the Children’s Hospital, The Healthy Food Guide from Top Shelf productions and the Active TV-produced The Food Files.

Telia Eesti licensed more than 60 hours of wildlife programming, including Jimmy’s Big Bee Rescue, Spring at Jimmy’s Farm and Autumn at Jimmy’s Farm, which are all produced by Red Sky Productions for Channel 4. The package also featured the wildlife series Animal Instincts, produced by NHK Enterprises for NHK.

JMU Srbije acquired a package of 60 hours of content for RTS Science Channel, including the environmental series Eco-Eye: Sustainable Solutions, as well as the Channel NewsAsia commissions Coming Clean About Green, Chasing Scarcity and The Longest Day. The Serbian pubcaster also acquired arts one-off Can Art Stop a Bullet, produced by Australia’s F-reel Productions.

DOX TV licensed TV Burabha’s The Snake Master, true-crime special The Big Boss: A 21st Century Criminal from Channel NewsAsia and the investigative one-off The Boeing 737 Max: What Went Wrong?, produced by Arrow Media for Channel 4.
