ZDF Enterprises Launches The Mystery of the Trojan Horse

The new documentary The Mystery of the Trojan Horse has been launched on the global market by ZDF Enterprises.

The Mystery of the Trojan Horse delves into the myth of the gigantic wooden horse that was loaded with Greek soldiers and presented to the Trojans as a gift. New findings indicate that the 3,000-year-old legend might be more fiction than fact. The documentary is produced by Gruppe 5 and GA&A Productions for ZDF in association with ARTE and ZDF Enterprises.

Among the experts featured in The Mystery of the Trojan Horse are underwater archaeologist Francesco Tiboni; Professor Winfried Held, whose archaeological fieldwork has focused on Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon; and Harun Özdaş, a specialist in nautical archaeology. They are joined by Dr. Boris Dunsch, a lecturer in classical philology; Osman Erkurt, archaeologist and shipbuilder; and engineering lecturer Professor Thomas Chondros (University of Patras).

Ralf Rueckauer, VP of ZDFE.unscripted at ZDF Enterprises, said: “The team of archaeologists and classicists involved in the production, have come up with some fascinating discoveries and insights that will have viewers captivated throughout.”
