Travel Channel Lines Up 264 Hours for Second Half of 2017

Travel Channel has scheduled 264 hours of prime-time programming for the next six months, with 11 new series set to premiere before the end of the year, including Caribbean Pirate Treasure.

The debut of Caribbean Pirate Treasure is set for August and the show features Ashlan and Philippe Cousteau. Another new series that will bow in August is Man v. Food with Casey Webb. Meanwhile, this fall will see the premiere of the four-part miniseries Expedition Unknown: Search for Extraterrestrials with adventurer Josh Gates and Andrew Zimmern’s new series, The Zimmern List. In October, Travel Channel will spotlight Halloween-themed programming with the Scarecation block, which will feature series such as Xtreme Screams, Haunted USA and the four-part special Ghost Adventures.

Future series will showcase favorite American locales. Upcoming shows include Alaska: 1,000 Ways (working title), Alaska Summer (working title), Island Explorer, Maui Beach Patrol (working title) and Hawaii: Eat Drink Play (working title).

In addition, Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations, Mysteries at the Museum and Food Paradise have increased production of fresh episodes. As Travel Channel preps its 2018 programming slate, the network has implemented a program development plan that features more than 30 pilots.
