AUCKLAND: Starting November 14, season two of the preschool hit series The WotWots, a Pukeko Pictures production, will air daily on TVNZ Kidzone24.

The WotWots, which launched in 2009, is now being broadcast in 90 territories across the world, including the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada, Korea, the Middle East and Poland. Pukeko Pictures is a business partnership between Academy Award-winner Richard Taylor—the co-founder and creative lead of Weta Workshop (Lord of the Rings, King Kong)—and Martin Baynton, an author and children’s television creator.

Baynton commented: “We are thrilled that the international success of The WotWots and the awards it has received has allowed us to make this second season. The show celebrates the joy of discovery and encourages children to be creative and inquisitive. It also promotes a love of animals and a respect for the extraordinary diversity of life on the planet. These core values are at the heart of the show and the fact that children and parents all around the world have embraced The WotWots is a vindication that TV done well can be more than a one-hit wonder.”
