LONDON: Elad Kuperman, the CEO of Endemol Shine Israel, has decided to step down from his role, with COO Amir Ganor tapped to lead the company.

Kuperman, founder of Kuperman Productions (which has since become Endemol Shine Israel), has led the company for 11 years. He will be leaving at the end of 2016 and handing responsibilities over to Ganor.

Ganor has worked at the company alongside Kuperman since it was founded in 2005 and will now lead the business as managing director of Endemol Shine Israel.

Kuperman commented: “After 11 years building what has become Israel’s leading independent producer and the success of our great partnership with Endemol Shine, I’ve decided after much thought that the time has come to seek a whole new challenge. I’m so incredibly proud of the world-class team here and all we have achieved together in serving the market with an outstanding quality and diversity of output. I couldn’t choose a stronger successor than Amir who has been an invaluable colleague and friend since the early days of the business. With him at the helm, Endemol Shine Israel is perfectly positioned for further growth, and I wish him and all my colleagues here every possible success going forward.”

Ganor added: “I want to pay huge tribute to Elad and his incredible achievements in leading this company to the number one position that we hold today in the Israeli market. Under his leadership the business has gone from strength to strength, further building on our successes in non-scripted and supercharging our fast growing output in scripted. He will be leaving the business in exceptionally good shape and I’m very much looking forward to building on that legacy and taking Endemol Shine Israel into a new chapter with the truly brilliant team we have here.”

Endemol Shine Group’s CEO of international operations, Martha Brass, said: “We owe Elad heartfelt thanks for leading Endemol Shine Israel to such a strong position in the market and I have every hope there will be opportunities for us to collaborate in the future. Going forward, we couldn’t ask for a stronger leader than Amir who has played such a pivotal part in the company’s success. He is the natural successor to lead Endemol Shine Israel into a new phase of growth as the company continues to build on its position as Israel’s largest independent producer, serving the market with a diverse portfolio of hit drama, comedy, entertainment and reality TV.”
