Comedy Central Scores Carriage on DStv


JOHANNESBURG: MTV Networks Africa is bringing the Comedy Central channel to

MultiChoice’s DStv platform in sub-Saharan Africa. 

Starting December 6, a bespoke 24-hour English-language Comedy Central service will go out to 47 territories in sub-Saharan Africa. The launch on DStv brings viewers hits such as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report and new episodes of South Park. The channel kicks off its broadcast launch with a one-hour special from comedian Jeff Dunham, followed by The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen.

There is a huge appetite for quality comedy content on the continent and Comedy Central is set to serve a menu of side-splitting entertainment that will help viewers to see the funny side of life.”
