Xilam Animation Launches Oggy Oggy Merchandising Campaign

Xilam Animation’s first high-potential merchandising operation will be for its Oggy Oggy series, with Simba Dickie Group as the master toy licensee.

As a major step of Xilam’s “Scale 2023” strategic plan, the Oggy Oggy merchandise campaign is set to launch for Christmas 2022. Simba will produce a complete range of toys, including dolls, vehicles, accessories and more, for 3- to 6-year-olds with a graphic style guide drawn by Xilam.

Oggy Oggy, a spin-off of the hit series Oggy and the Cockroaches, was chosen for Xilam’s first merchandising launch as it already has brand awareness and is currently being rolled out worldwide. Other series with high merchandising potential will be launched in the future.

Merchandising is one of the four pillars of Xilam’s strategy, based on growing its core business of kids’ and family content, expanding its adult-focused content range, capitalizing on strategic high-return non-IP content and accelerating B2C revenue streams.
