Xilam Animation Greenlights Submarine Jim

Xilam Animation has greenlit the new adventure comedy Submarine Jim and scored its first presales, with France Télévisions and Germany’s Super RTL.

Created by Frédéric Martin (Oggy Oggy), the 52×11-minute animation tells the tale of a young dolphin named Jim who is tasked with steering the world’s first-ever submarine on wheels.

Jim leads a crew of various underwater friends, including Bianca the daring orca and Cyril the reliable anchovy, as they travel in search of the pristine waters of Fishland. As they navigate land and sea, they also navigate friendship and self-discovery.

Submarine Jim is targeted at 6- to 9-year-olds and is set to be delivered in Q2 of 2026.

“We’re excited to be working with the highly talented Fred Martin once again,” said Marc du Pontavice, founder and CEO of Xilam. “He has a remarkable track record in crafting comedy for global audiences, and we all instantly loved his concept for Submarine Jim. It’s a pure, laugh-out-loud funny series that builds on our long-standing experience in the comedy space, and we know it will appeal to kids and families all over the world. We’re also thrilled to have the trust of our long-term partners France Télévisions and Super RTL and for them to be joining us on this new adventure—which will bring unforgettable experiences and surprises galore for Jim and audiences alike.”
