WildBrain’s Josh Scherba

Josh Scherba, president of WildBrain, talks to TV Kids‘ Mansha Daswani about the company’s rebrand and the new priorities set out under CEO Eric Ellenbogen, including putting creativity first and investing more than ever in talent and creator deals.

 

Just a few months ago, DHX Media announced its rebrand to WildBrain, and this came shortly after appointing a new in Ellenbogen. WildBrain boasts a library of more than 13,000 half-hours of filmed entertainment and counts among its brands Peanuts, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, Inspector Gadget and Degrassi. Not only are the company’s shows seen in more than 150 countries on over 500 broadcasters and streaming platforms, its WildBrain Spark AVOD business has more than 109 million subscribers on YouTube. Further, WildBrain’s licensing and merchandising arm licenses consumer products and location-based entertainment around the world for its own properties in addition to those of its clients and content partners.
