WildBrain Television has greenlit a third season of Ruby and the Well, which will premiere in Canada on Family Channel in fall 2023.

The new season will see the well heap more and more demands on Ruby, who increasingly struggles to balance school, friends and family while carrying out her duty as a well keeper.

WildBrain also secured new international deals for seasons one and two of the series. AMC Networks International (Spain) and Yle (Finland) signed on for both seasons, while Prime Video (Germany), Showmax (Africa), TVNZ (New Zealand) and MBC Mauritius (Africa) picked up season one. SIC (Portugal) and ICI Tou.tv EXTRA (Canada) acquired season two after having previously aired season one.

Ruby and the Well is produced by Shaftesbury and Family Channel, in association with BYUtv, with the support of the Shaw Rocket Fund.

“We’re delighted that families at home and abroad are embracing this wonderful Canadian drama,” said Katie Wilson, VP of channels and global acquisitions at WildBrain Television. “With charming characters and magical storylines, Ruby and the Well is a truly heartwarming series offering a shared experience that our audience needs right now. We’re excited that the adventures with Ruby and her friends will continue in a new season.”

Ruby and the Well season three is a continuation of the heartwarming journey that has enchanted families across Canada and beyond,” said Christina Jennings, chairman and president of Shaftesbury. “As we launch into this new season, we invite our viewers to join Ruby and her friends on an unforgettable adventure that promises to inspire and entertain.”
