WildBrain Expands Offering on Amazon SVOD Services

WildBrain has secured new deals for over 850 episodes of content with Prime Video in Canada, Australia and New Zealand; Prime Video in Germany; and Amazon Kids+ in the U.S.

In Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Prime Video picked up nearly 500 episodes from the Degrassi library, bringing the most Degrassi content ever available on one service to the platform.  This includes all 14 seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation, season one of The Kids of Degrassi Street and three seasons of Degrassi Junior High.

Two seasons of Degrassi High, one season of Degrassi Talks, one season of Degrassi Unscripted and Degrassi High: School’s Out are also included.

The deal with Prime Video in Germany includes 218 episodes of content, including 90 episodes of WildBrain’s 2017 Teletubbies series, the animated comedy Dorg Van Dango and season one of Ruby and the Well. It also covers seasons 14 and 15 of Fireman Sam and three 60-minute Fireman Sam specials: The Great Fire of Pontypandy; Set for Action!; and Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky.

In the U.S., Amazon Kids+ acquired 132 episodes. Its deal covers seasons one and two of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, seasons four and five of WildBrain and Mattel’s Polly Pocket series, the Polly Pocket—Sparkle Cove special, Ghost Patrol and The Kid Who Only Hit Homers.
