TV Kids Summer Festival Preview: Day 2

The second day of the TV Kids Summer Festival features keynotes from WarnerMedia’s Tom Ascheim and Disney Branded Television’s Ayo Davis, along with a session spotlighting Canadian production and distribution, a panel and premiere for ZDF Enterprises’ Space Nova and a look at the enduring success of the Total Drama franchise. On Tuesday, June 8, the festival kicks off with a keynote address from Tom Ascheim, the president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics, who will provide an update on the latest developments at Cartoon Network and Boomerang and highlight the kids’ slate at HBO Max.

A power panel in the morning will spotlight Canada’s extensive kids’ and family production and distribution landscape with WildBrain’s Josh Scherba, Guru Studio’s Frank Falcone, marblemedia’s Mark Bishop, Portfolio’s Joy Rosen and Atomic Cartoons’ Richard Goldsmith.

Tune in at noon EDT for insights from Ayo Davis, the executive VP of creative development and strategy at Disney Branded Television, about the live-action slate she oversees for Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.

Later, we’re thrilled to present the premiere of ZDF Enterprises’ Space Nova, which will be preceded by a panel discussion with SLR’s Suzanne Ryan, Super RTL’s Lisa Albers and ABC Australia’s Michael Drake on how the show came together.

Closing day two is Anatomy of a Hit, a panel that will take an in-depth look at the enduring success of the Total Drama franchise with Fresh TV’s Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and CAKE’s Ed Galton.
