DUBAI: Starting this month, Cartoon Network and Boomerang will be available in high definition and with dual-language options across the Middle East and North Africa.

Both Turner channels will be offered exclusively on beIN for DTH and on compatible IPTV platforms. Warner Bros. titles such as Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo, as well as Cartoon Network original series such as The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time, are set to be broadcast in English and Arabic.

Turner has also launched a new website and Facebook page to complement the content on Cartoon Network. A special site dedicated to Boomerang is also due out later this year.

The launch follows the rollout of Cartoon Network Hindi earlier in 2016.

“We are thrilled to provide exceptional cartoon viewing options and quality entertainment to our viewers,” said Tarek Mounir, the VP and general manager for MENA, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus at Turner. “The standards in entertainment requirements are ever increasing and we are making sure to stay ahead of the curve whilst also offering viewers the choice to watch their favorite channels in their preferred language.”
