Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, the new chapter in the popular anime franchise, has notched up deals on three new platforms: 9Go! in Australia, K2 in Italy and Teletoon in Canada.

Production has officially begun on season two of the series. Konami Cross Media NY, which manages the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand outside of Asia, has sold the show to 9Go!, an Australian free-to-air digital television multichannel that was launched by Nine Network. K2 and Teletoon have both launched season one.

Kristen Gray, general manager and senior VP of Konami Cross Media NY, said: “This is the sixth and newest series of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. It is launching at a time when the global demand is strong, with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links mobile app game exceeding 90 million downloads worldwide. We are pleased to have these blue-chip broadcasters continuing as partners, and providing an opportunity for our many fans to engage and enjoy all of the new adventures in this latest series.”
