ToonDraw’s Genius Genie Lands in New Markets

ToonDraw, a Montreal-based production company, has secured a number of new broadcast deals for its 2D-animated preschool series Genius Genie.

The first season of Genius Genie has been picked up by free-to-air broadcaster TVP ABC in Poland and U.S. streaming platforms ToonGoggles, Cocoro and Ameba. The series’ debut season was produced in partnership with Canadian broadcasters Radio-Canada, Knowledge Network, Télé-Québec and TFO.

Genius Genie has previously been picked up by YLE in Finland, Alati International in Russia and Discovery Kids for the MENA region.

Genius Genie follows the adventures of a genie who appears whenever anyone says the word “problem”—but his magic frequently makes the situation even worse. However, his friends Lili, Leo and Penelope are always willing to help with teamwork and creative problem-solving.
