Toon2Tango has signed an agreement with toy manufacturer Schleich to develop and produce a CGI animated series and other content based on the toy line Eldrador Creatures.
The fantasy toy line is made up of fierce creatures from five distinct worlds, each with their own distinct World Crystal. The creatures face each other in battles, with each world striving to capture all the World Crystals and combine them into the Super Crystal.
Toon2Tango will develop and produce a 52×11-minute CGI series as well as short-form content. Other types of content such as apps, video games, film and live-acton adaptations are at the planning stage.
The toy line was launched by Schleich in 2019 and has seen consistent growth. Sales increased by 14 percentage points between 2023 and 2024. New products are in the works for the toy line, including four new BattleCaves.
“The entertainment content is an important next step to make the Eldrador Creatures characters and worlds even more recognizable, to allow children to experience their play fantasy in narrative films,” said Stefan De Loecker, CEO of Schleich. “We have found the perfect partner in Toon2Tango, a leading children’s and family entertainment company that will take Eldrador Creatures to whole new worlds of fun and excitement.”
Ulli Stoef, co-founder of Toon2Tango, commented, “We are thrilled that the Schleich Group has put its trust in us to further develop its high-quality and rapidly growing toy line, which already has millions of fans, and to create entertainment content for children and the whole family. The concept and storylines are perfect for all sorts of serialized content and the wide distribution of the Schleich toys and their loyal fan base are perfect to drive viewers to platforms and broadcasters around the world. We are confident that this strong partnership will build a franchise that will be hugely successful worldwide.”
