Tencent Video Unveils Rainbow Bubblegem

Tencent Video has revealed details about its latest original production, Rainbow Bubblegem, a 3D animated fantasy series aimed at children aged 6 to 9.

Rainbow Bubblegem is being produced for Tencent Video and Chinese partner Live Fun by Campfire Aniworks in Korea. The 52×11-minute show is slated to launch in early 2022. It has already been prebought by EBS Korea.

Rainbow Bubblegem recounts the magical adventures of seven mermaid princesses who must go to school on land to search for enchanted jewels to save their undersea realm from an evil witch. The series teaches children about friendship, cooperation with others and how working as a team can help you succeed.

Selina She, director of the kids’ IP development and programming center at Tencent Video, said: “Co-production is an important part of Tencent Kids’ strategy, and we are delighted to team up with Live Fun and Campfire Aniworks for this magical new series. Hugely fun, with seven colorful and adorable heroines who young children can readily identify with, it promises to be thrilling viewing for our audience as well as teaching them valuable life lessons about the importance of friendship and teamwork.”
