Coop Troop has been sold to a slew of broadcasters in Europe, Australia and North America following its recent U.K. debut on ITVX.

ABC (Australia), RTÉ (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), Yle (Finland) and Radio-Canada have picked up the series, with more sales yet to be revealed. The show premiered earlier this year on France Télévisions and Globo Brazil and will air on Tencent Video Kids in China in 2024.

The 52×11-minute animation is aimed at kids aged 6 to 9. Thirsty for adventure to escape their mundane farm life, the Coop Troop, a gang of five, has a mission to help any animal with a problem.

Coop Troop is a co-production between Sixteen South, Mikros Animation IP, France Télévisions and Tencent Video.

Colin Williams, Sixteen South’s creative director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the response to Coop Troop from all corners of the globe—a testament to the universal appeal of this motley group of furry, feathery and woolly rescuers and their hilarious exploits. We wanted to make a retro homage to classic TV series of the 70s and 80s like The A-Team which also promoted important messages for today’s kids, such as the value of friendship and working together, and we’re thrilled to see that broadcasters worldwide are loving watching it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”

Sandrine Nguyen, managing director and producer at Mikros Animation IP, added: “We are so thrilled with the warm welcome that has been given to our crazy, zany gang! It is really a pleasure to see the humor and heart that are at the center of the show resonate across the world.”
