SpongeBob Gaming App Headed to Hungary & U.K.

TEL AVIV: Following its launch in Israel, the SpongeBob SquarePants app Sponge Master has been adapted into Hungarian and English versions for upcoming launches via Nickelodeon channels in Hungary and the U.K.

The second-screen app will be available in Hungary on August 1, with a U.K. adaptation set for this fall. Sponge Master is a live multi-screen trivia game that syncs with episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Questions appear on the TV screen during the show, and viewers have between 10 and 20 seconds to answer. The fastest player who gets the most questions right is the winner. At the end of each episode, the names of the winning viewers appear on the TV screen.

Sponge Master was developed by Mars Interactive, a subsidiary company of Ananey Communications Group.
