SpacePOP Line Set for Toys “R” Us in U.S.


BEVERLY HILLS: Genius Brands International is gearing up for the launch of its new tween brand SpacePOP at select Toys “R” Us stores across the U.S. and online in December.

The exclusive mass retail rollout will feature more than 40 new SpacePOP toys, accessories and confections, available for the first time via Toys “R” Us. The range of products includes beauty and bath items from Taste Beauty and deluxe collector fashion dolls from Madame Alexander. Additionally, Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group will release the second SpacePOP chapter book titled Rockin’ the Rebellion.

Other products set to drop in time for the holiday season include blind bags from Commonwealth/License 2 Play, headphones and microphones from KIDdesigns, activity sets from Canal Toys, board games and puzzles from Goliath, novelty confections from Flix Candy and DVDs from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. In addition, FAB Starpoint is making bags, backpacks and water bottles. New CDs, including an exclusive version of the SpacePOP soundtrack, will also launch from Sony Music/Legacy Recordings.

Genius Brands International has integrated the product line into the SpacePOP entertainment content, which can be viewed on YouTube and across digital platforms such as Kabillion Girls Rule!, Toon Goggles, PopJam, BatteryPOP and Kid Genius channel on Comcast. The new line will also be promoted through a digital marketing campaign that features the products in videos with YouTube influencers.

SpacePOP is comprised of more than 100 serialized adventures that follow five teenage princesses who disguise themselves as musicians and form a band. The girls secretly plot to vanquish an evil Empress who wants to enslave the galaxy.
