Avengers Lands First-Ever Preschool Series at Disney

Disney Jr. has commissioned the first-ever Avengers preschool series, ordered Cars: Lightning Racers and renewed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+.

The commissions were revealed at the Disney Jr. Let’s Play! celebration at Disney California Adventure Park by Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television.

Cars: Lightning Racers is inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-winning Cars films, with Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy reprising their iconic roles. Produced by Disney Television Animation in association with Pixar, it arrives on Disney Jr. and then Disney+ in 2027.

Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends is the first-ever Avengers series for preschoolers. It too arrives in 2027, produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ has landed a two-season renewal following its strong start last month.

“Disney Jr. is where preschool magic begins—and no one does it bigger or better,” Davis said. “Our shows are often a child’s very first connection to the world of Disney, sparking the songs they sing, the characters they adore, and the adventures they want to live again and again.” She continued, “Today’s announcements build on that leadership, expanding the worlds kids already love and introducing new multiplatform stories that will capture the hearts of the next generation.”
