Sky Renews The Brilliant World of Tom Gates

Sky has commissioned a third season of The Brilliant World of Tom Gates from TG Entertainment.

The new season of the show, based on Liz Pichon’s Tom Gates books, is currently in production and will be available on Sky Kids and on the streaming service NOW in the U.K. and Ireland in early 2024.

The Brilliant World of Tom Gates combines 2D and stop-motion animation with live action. It blends Tom’s humor and school life with crafting ideas that kids can recreate. Season three will see Tom embark on more adventures at home and school with his friends and family.

The voice cast includes Mark Bonnar (Line of Duty, Shetland), Catherine Tate (Catherine Tate Show, Doctor Who, Billionaire Boy) and Logan Matthews.

In addition to the renewal, WildBrain recently secured more international sales for the series. TV3-Televisió de Catalunya’s children’s channel SX3 (Spain) picked up seasons one and two and both the Christmas and Halloween specials, Showmax (Africa) acquired seasons one and two, and Knowledge (Canada) took the Halloween special. WildBrain is the global distributor for The Brilliant World of Tom Gates outside the U.K., including both the Halloween and Christmas specials.
