Sinking Ship Inks Pan-Territory Deal with Showmax

Canada’s Sinking Ship Entertainment (SSE) has inked a deal with MultiChoice Group’s Showmax, bringing over 80 hours of live-action kids’ content to viewers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Through the agreement, Showmax has acquired the new sci-fi conservation series Endlings, the Emmy Award-winning series Odd Squad, the STEM-themed series Annedroids and the preschool series Chirp. In September, the SVOD platform will be joining over ten international partners in premiering Endlings worldwide.

Mehmet Gunduz, Sinking Ship’s manager of sales for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and LatAm, said: “Commercially-friendly educational kids’ content continues to grow across the globe amid the ever-changing international landscape.
