Sutikki, the kids’ and family division of Bento Box Entertainment, has entered into a global master publishing agreement with Scholastic for Andrew Davenport’s (Teletubbies, In the Night Garden) new preschool series Moon and Me.

Scholastic is the second global licensee for the brand alongside Hasbro, which came on board as worldwide master toy partner for Moon and Me earlier this year. Editorial development of the Moon and Me global publishing range will be led out of Scholastic’s U.K. offices, and Davenport will act as principal author. Books are expected to begin rolling out across several territories beginning in fall 2018.

Moon and Me will premiere on CBeebies in the U.K. in 2018. The series is produced by Sutikki and Davenport’s Foundling Bird. Inspired by tales of toys that come to life when nobody is looking, Moon and Me is the comical story of a special friendship between two characters from completely different worlds.

“I’m genuinely thrilled to have Scholastic act as our global master publishing partner,” said Andrew Kerr, co-founder of Sutikki. “I’ve been lucky enough to know and work with the team at Scholastic for a number of brands over many years, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to do justice to all of Moon and Me’s tremendous storytelling opportunities.”

Elizabeth Scoggins, Scholastic UK’s publisher for licensing and nonfiction, said, “We are beyond excited to be working with Andy Davenport and Sutikki on a project with such great pedigree. It’s a real thrill to welcome Andy to Scholastic both as an author and as the creator of an incredible new children’s program. We’re very much looking forward to working together to create a truly memorable publishing program for Moon and Me.”
