Ryan’s World the Movie Expands Theatrical Release

Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure has expanded its theatrical release beyond the U.S. to include Canada, the U.K. and Ireland.

The film, from pocket.watch and Sunlight Entertainment, will debut on over 125 theater screens in Canada, including through Cineplex Entertainment and Landmark Cinemas, and in over 90 cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland via Vue Entertainment. The countries’ theatrical releases will coincide with the August 16 release in the U.S.

In Canada, the film will be released through Sherry Media Group. In the U.K., pocket.watch and the producers collaborated directly with Vue, one of the U.K.’s largest cinema chains.

Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure marks the first-ever wide theatrical distribution of a digital creator-driven film, starring a digital creator cast with a global following of 207 million subscribers across YouTube accounts. It stars Ryan’s World’s Ryan Kaji, Shion Kaji, Loann Kaji, Kate Kaji and Emma Kaji. pocket.watch tapped into some of its partner creators to star as well, including Evangeline Lomelino of GEM Sisters, Dan Rhodes as himself and Stella Wallace of The Stella Show.

The movie is directed by Albie Hecht and produced by Shion and Loann Kaji. It sees Ryan jump into a mystical comic book to rescue his twin sisters. The animation is produced by Shin-Ei Animation (Doraemon, Crayon Shinchan).
