Ryan’s World Expands with Pirate Adventures

Pocket.watch and the Kaji family-owned Sunlight Entertainment have expanded the Ryan’s World brand with Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures, building on the successful Ryan’s World Pirate YouTube videos.

In the new live-action and animated special Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures Trick-or-Treasure, available now on Ryan and Friends Plus and HappyKids, Ryan must answer a ghost pirate’s riddles to get his costume back.

An exclusive line of Trick-or-Treasure toys have been released at Target in stores and online. The range includes a Giant Mystery Egg, featuring seven toys such as mystery figures, Cap’n Ryan’s Barrel Boat vehicle, a fidget spinner, putty and stickers; a Micro Treasure Chest, with four micro figures, a foam sword, mystery sand, stickers and a Ryan’s World comic strip; and a Teeny Chest Series 2, with three micro figures, a spinner and a sticker.

New Pirate-themed integrations are available in the TAG with Ryan mobile game as well. Updates include treasures like a Pirate Adventures welcome screen takeover, a new Cap’N Ryan character, matching costumes for the figures in the pirate products and a new Pirate Ship vehicle.

New episodes and content specials are also debuting across Ryan and Friends Plus, the Ryan’s World YouTube channel and HappyKids. Throughout October and November, new live-action and animated episodes are debuting on the Ryan’s World YouTube channel.

“Kids everywhere have already viewed Ryan’s World Pirate videos over a billion times,” said Amanda Klecker, senior VP of marketing and franchise at pocket.watch. “We’re thrilled to expand the Ryan’s World franchise to provide kids more of the content they love and allow them to extend the play in their own homes through immersive mobile gaming and new Target exclusive toys.”

Shion Kaji, Ryan’s father and CEO of Sunlight Entertainment, added, “After seeing the massive success of Ryan’s World Pirate videos on YouTube, we are looking forward to expanding our Pirate World and bringing it to more kids, especially timed to the Halloween season. Whether they’re adventuring along through YouTube episodes, the Pirate Adventures special, the toys or the mobile game, there is truly something exciting for every kid.”
