Portfolio Entertainment has secured a new round of global sales for the animated series Hero Elementary, including with Discovery Kids Latin America.

Portfolio has also recently closed deals with TVB (Hong Kong), City Saskatchewan (Canada) and the American Forces Radio and Television Service for all offshore U.S. Military Bases. Hero Elementary will be heading to MIPTV as part of Portfolio’s slate of new and established titles available at the market.

Hero Elementary currently airs on PBS Kids (U.S.), Discovery Inc. (MENA), Minika (Turkey), YLE (Finland) and KAN (Israel). British Columbia’s Knowledge Network and Ontario’s TVO acquired rights in Canada.

Hero Elementary follows the pupils of the titular institution, where kids with superpowers learn how to use their unique gifts.

Donnie MacIntyre, VP of sales and business development at Portfolio Entertainment, said: “We are delighted that Hero Elementary has found a home at Discovery Kids Latin America, a network with an outstanding parent stamp of approval. We are confident that young LatAm viewers will love the exciting action and side-splitting hijinks of our super team of aspiring kid heroes.”
