Pocket.watch has tapped Jeff Siegel to oversee the sales strategy of its library of creator-driven IP as global head of content distribution.

Siegel joins from Group Nine Studios, where he served as senior VP of program sales and strategy, helping secure the company’s first Netflix original, Izzy’s Koala World.

Prior to that, Siegel spent time at Verizon Go90 and Defy Media, where he led international distribution of originals for both companies.

At pocket.watch, Siegel will report directly to Chris M. Williams, founder and CEO. He will help shape the sales strategy for the pocket.watch catalog, which includes titles such as Magic Mayhem with Dan Rhodes, Toys and Colors Kaleidoscope City and Ryan’s Mystery Playdate.

“I’m eager to join pocket.watch during this transformative period,” Siegel said. “Having experience in both legacy media and startups, I’m passionate about providing new ways for kids and families around the world to watch the content and creators that they truly love. Pocket.watch’s innovative franchise-building approach, combined with their proficiency in adapting content into new formats, provides a unique opportunity for their creators to collaborate with partners worldwide. I am excited to further build upon the company’s successes and to find new partners that can benefit from all the content we have to offer.”

“With over 25 years of experience in global monetization of content, Jeff will play a crucial role leading our content sales efforts,” Williams added. “We look forward to welcoming him to the team and further expanding the worldwide distribution of our beloved kids’ and family content with Jeff’s insightful collaboration and leadership.”
