Pikwik, Heirs of the Night Set for MIPJunior Premieres

Guru Studio’s preschool animation Pikwik and ZDF Enterprises’ teen vampire adventure Heirs of the Night have been selected as World Premiere TV Screenings at MIPJunior this year.

“This eclectic selection responds to our clients’ demands for everything from preschool animation to teen live-action,” said Lucy Smith, director of MIPJunior. The 52×11-minute Pikwik is set to air on Disney Junior in the U.S., Australia/New Zealand, India and Korea and on Treehouse in Canada, with Playmates Toys on board as the global master toy partner. The MIPJunior World Premiere Screening will be on October 12. Heirs of the Night, set in the late 19th century, is a 13×26-minute series co-produced by ZDF Enterprises, Lemming Film, MAIPO Film Norway, Maze Pictures Germany, Scope Pictures and Hamster Germany. It will air on Norway’s NRK, NDR in Germany and AVROTROS in the Netherlands. The MIPJunior World Premiere is on October 13.
