Once Upon a Time… Sales for Banijay

Following the majority acquisition of Procidis last year, Banijay Kids & Family has taken on the rights to Once Upon a Time…, clinching a raft of deals for the edutainment franchise.

France Télévisions renewed Once Upon a Time… Life, Once Upon a Time… Man, Once Upon a Time… The Discoverers, and Once Upon a Time… The Explorers. In China, UYoung opted for Once Upon a Time… Objects. Mediawan Thematics acquired Once Upon a Time… Space for select French-speaking channels across Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and South Pacific.

Banijay Kids & Family also reached a deal with OneGate Media, which took the German, Austrian and Swiss DVD license and sub-distribution for all VOD rights for Once Upon a Time… Life, Once Upon a Time… Man, Once Upon a Time… Planet Earth, Once Upon a Time… Space, Once Upon a Time… The Americas, Once Upon a Time… The Discoverers and Once Upon a Time… The Explorers. And France Vision Service took Once Upon a Time… The Explorers for an inflight deal.

Originally created by Albert Barillé in 1978, the franchise has broadcast continuously in France for nearly 50 years. Seven seasons, for a total of 182 episodes, have aired in over 100 countries.
