Nickelodeon Preps First SpongeBob Crossover Special

The Tidal Zone, a one-hour crossover special encompassing the three SpongeBob SquarePants animated series, is slated to debut in November on Nickelodeon.

The event special follows GrandPat, Patrick Star’s grandfather, as he makes his way through the dimensions of SpongeBob SquarePants, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and The Patrick Star Show.

Voice talent from all three series features in the special, including Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Jill Talley (Karen, Squidina), Kate Higgins (Narlene) and Carlos Alazraqui (Nobby). Executive producers are Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller.

This news comes after Nickelodeon picked up a 14th season of SpongeBob SquarePants. Paramount+ is also expanding Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years with new episodes on September 30, and The Patrick Star Show is continuing to roll out on Nickelodeon. Additionally, three character-driven movies launching exclusively on Paramount+ and a fourth theatrical release from Nickelodeon Animation are in development.
