Nick Gears Up for Second Season of Sports Reality Show

NEW YORK: Later this week, Nickelodeon is slated to premiere the sophomore season of Soccer Superstar, a sports reality competition series.

Soccer Superstar searches for the best adolescent female soccer player in the U.S. The second season, hosted by gold medalist Heather Mitts, will follow 12 teens as they strive to win the chance to meet and train with a National Women’s Soccer League team and become the next Soccer Superstar. Back-to-back episodes will air as part of Nicktoons’s NickSports block every Friday at 10 p.m. starting on July 15.

Soccer Superstar is produced by Magic Pictures International, Bizzy Signals Entertainment and Mint Pictures. The show is executive produced by Kristopher Lythgoe, Michael Cohen and Adam Kay. It is based on the series Football Superstar, created by Mint Pictures and Foxtel Australia.
