Guru Studio is marking its 25th anniversary with a growing slate of originals and is prepping new YouTube shorts for True and the Rainbow Kingdom as well as its first theatrical feature film.

Founded as a commercial outfit creating ad campaigns in 2000, Guru Studio has worked on properties like PAW Patrol for Spin Master and Nickelodeon, Ever After High for Mattel and Sesame Workshop’s Mecha Builders and built up a stable of originals, including True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix.

“We’re incredibly humbled to be marking 25 years doing what we love,” said Frank Falcone, Guru Studio’s president. “The studio’s growth and success have always come from our collective intuition and the creative risks we’ve been willing to take on creating animated stories we strongly believe in. We’ve been very fortunate to work with so many talented artists and supportive partners brave enough to take these leaps of faith with us. I’m proud of having brought to life characters who continue to resonate with our harshest critics—kids and parents!”

Guru Studio is developing new shorts for True and the Rainbow Kingdom and its first-ever theatrical feature film. It has also wrapped production on the Charlotte’s Web adaptation for Sesame Workshop and HBO Max, and has recently acquired the TV rights to 25 titles from Penguin Random House’s Where’s Spot? children’s book series.
