Big Bad Boo Studios has promoted Paddy Gillen to VP of production as it looks to bolster its production arm.

Gillen will be responsible for fostering, managing and expanding Big Bad Boo’s various shows in production, which includes TVOKids’ 16 Hudson and the Hulu original The Bravest Knight. With 20 years of experience developing and producing live-action and animated series in various formats, Gillen is credited with managing Big Bad Boo’s development projects as well as production on originals such as 1001 Nights and Lili & Lola.

In a statement, Big Bad Boo Co-Founder Shabnam Rezaei noted that as the company looks to produce multiple series and branch out from 2D animation to 3D and live action, Gillen’s vision and expertise in both development and production make her an ideal choice to lead the Vancouver-based studio in all aspects of production. This new appointment follows news of Big Bad Boo expanding its production roster.
