Big Bad Boo Studios has received the green light for season two of The Bravest Knight, set to air later this year on Hulu and CBC Kids.

The new season will continue the story of Sir Cedric as he shares tales of how he became a brave knight to his husband and his daughter, who is an aspiring knight herself. The series teaches lessons about friendship, resourcefulness and true bravery.

The voice cast includes T. R. Knight, Wilson Cruz, Bobby Moynihan, Christine Baranski and Steven Weber. Joining the cast for season two are Alan Cumming and Jane Lynch. Season one included special guests such as RuPaul, AJ McLean, Wanda Sykes and Jazz Jennings.

The Bravest Knight is directed by Shabnam Rezaei. It received the GLAAD Award for outstanding kids and family programming, earning praise for being one of the first all-ages animations to star an openly gay main character.

“We are thrilled by the show’s reception and excited for the chance to reveal the next chapter of the story, brought to life by a remarkable cast,” said Daniel Errico, show creator.
