Mondo TV has landed a new round of deals for the environmentally-themed kids’ adventure-comedy show MeteoHeroes.

The French pay-TV broadcaster Canal+ secured a deal to broadcast MeteoHeroes TV movies and season two on Canal+Kids and Piwi+ in France and French-speaking territories, excluding Canada, starting from April. A preliminary agreement has also been signed to launch MeteoHeroes season two in Turkey on the free-to-air Minika Çoçuk channel.

A series of short-format educational clips of MeteoHeroes highlighting environmental issues will launch in Switzerland on the Italian-speaking channel RSI La 1, a free-to-air channel owned by public broadcaster RSI.

Season one is set to premiere on Poland’s free-to-air channel TVP ABC in July, following a successful launch on the Teletoon+ pay-TV channel at the end of 2021. The free-to-air English-language Channel 5 in Singapore is slated to launch the original run on its okto children block this month.

In Italy, the first 19 episodes are currently available on Amazon Prime. The remaining episodes will premiere in April and September 2022. Episodes from season two are set to premiere on Cartoonito Italy in April 2022.

Matteo Corradi, Mondo TV’s CEO, said: “MeteoHeroes is already making a strong showing in the international markets, and we’re not surprised that its universally relevant theme of making our planet sustainable, combined with its humor and thrilling storylines, great and diverse characters, and a lineup that promotes gender equality, has attracted so much interest!”
