The Fred Rogers Company and Out of the Blue Enterprises have extended the master publishing agreement with Simon & Schuster for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood until 2022, with new licensees also coming on board the brand.

Simon & Schuster will publish more than a dozen new Daniel Tiger titles this year in a variety of formats, including hardcover, trade paperback and e-book. Meanwhile, Out of the Blue secured new licensing partners in a range of consumer products categories, including Party City for such party supplies as tableware, décor, favors and balloons, and Hallmark for a series of three Christmas ornaments. Merchandise will begin rolling out this fall.

Additional new licensees include Church & Dwight Co. with toothbrushes and Orajel toothpaste (fall 2017); Fabric Traditions with printed fabric (spring 2018); and SCS Direct with Melamine tableware, icepacks and lunch bags (fall 2017). Also new this season is a line of swimwear for young boys and girls from The Bentex Group/Dreamwave, available at Target.com. The boys’ collection is also being sold at Walmart.com.

“Simon & Schuster has been a wonderful partner for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and we’re so pleased that an even broader assortment of books will be available for children and families to enjoy well into the future,” said Paul Siefken, the president and CEO of The Fred Rogers Company. “We’re also excited to welcome these new partners into the family to provide fans with even more ways to learn and grow along with Daniel and his friends.”

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood continues to deeply resonate with kids and families nationwide and we are delighted to be working with these exceptional licensees to extend the fun and positive messages of the series beyond the screen,” added Samantha Freeman, co-founder and president of Out of the Blue Enterprises.
