Netflix to Host New Seasons of Animated Pokémon Series

Netflix and The Pokémon Company International have joined forces to bring the upcoming seasons of Pokémon Journeys: The Series to the streaming platform.

Marking the show’s premiere in the U.S., the first 12 episodes of the new 23rd season of the series will launch on Netflix on June 12. Additional new episodes of Pokémon Journeys: The Series will be added quarterly on the platform for the duration of the season.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series follows Pokémon Trainer Ash Ketchum, who has a plan to see the world. Along with his partner Pikachu, he heads to a research facility dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokémon in every region. There, Ash meets Goh, another boy curious about Pokémon, and gets asked to be an official research fellow before exploring the wide world of Pokémon.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series will also feature a new theme song written and performed by the band Walk off the Earth.
