Netflix & Mattel Set Cast for Masters of the Universe: Revelation

The upcoming Netflix anime series Masters of the Universe: Revelation, produced by Mattel Television, is set to feature Mark Hamill (Star Wars) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) among its cast.

Hamill will voice Skeletor in the series while Headey has been tapped to play Evil-Lyn. Joining them in the cast are Chris Wood (Supergirl) as Prince Adam/He-Man, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Teela, Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) as Man-At-Arms and Stephen Root (Barry) as Cringer. Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) will serve as showrunner and executive producer for Masters of the Universe: Revelation, which is based on He-Man, Skeletor, Teela and the other classic characters of the Masters of the Universe franchise.

Additional cast members include Diedrich Bader, Griffin Newman, Tiffany Smith, Henry Rollins, Alan Oppenheimer, Susan Eisenberg, Alicia Silverstone, Justin Long, Jason Mewes, Phil LaMarr, Tony Todd, Cree Summer, Kevin Michael Richardson, Kevin Conroy and Harley Quinn Smith.

Marc Bernardin (Castle Rock, Alphas), Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Diya Mishra (Magic the Gathering) and Tim Sheridan (Reign of the Supermen) are writers on the series. Powerhouse Animation is doing the animation. Mattel’s reboot of the franchise also includes a comic book series by DC Comics, reimagined versions of the ’80s toys, a CG-animated series with Netflix (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe) and a feature film.
