France’s CANAL+ has picked up seasons one and two of the non-dialogue animated series Noodle and Bun from Monster Entertainment.

The show, made up of 5-minute episodes for kids ages 6 to 12, follows the adventures of Noodle, a wobbly cat who causes trouble; Bean, a pug who whimpers in the face of danger; and Bun, a little mouse who holds the group together.

Noodle and Bun is produced by South Africa’s Polycat. The series has previously been sold to Yle in Finland, Filmin’s SVOD service in Spain and Portugal, Megogo in Ukraine and the Kidoodle.TV app, as well as to the Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Air France and Aegean airlines.

“The craziness, humor and quality of Noodle and Bun will shake the CANAL+kids grid,” said Geraldine Soto, head of acquisitions for the kids’ department at CANAL+.

Andrew Fitzpatrick, managing director of Monster, added, “CANAL+ is the perfect home for Noodle and Bun. We’re so excited that they’ve fallen in love with this very unique series, which is quickly building a global following.”
