Mondo TV has secured deals to bring the animated action-comedy Invention Story to new channels in Russia and Hungary and a global streaming service.

The series is slated to launch in Russia on Karusel and in Hungary on TV2 as well as its dedicated kids’ channel Kiwi. Further, Kidoodle.TV is preparing to debut Invention Story this month, bringing it to viewers in all countries except China, where it is available on the Mango TV digital platform and will premiere on the national broadcaster CCTV later in the year.

Through an agreement with the Italian telecommunications group TIM, SVOD rights have been granted on a non-exclusive basis to license six programs in the Mondo TV portfolio, including Invention Story. These are now available on TIMVISION, the on-demand TIM TV channel, throughout Italy. The 15-month license period started in April 2020.

Invention Story centers on a fox named Kit that comes up with inventions that impress most of the rabbit residents of his adopted home, Carrot Town, but inspire jealousy in a few.

Luana Perrero, head of content sales at Mondo TV, said: “The growing success of Invention Story in so many very diverse territories underlines the universal appeal of its themes, the originality of its concept and the fact that it’s a beautifully designed, very funny show that is incredibly entertaining! We look forward to announcing many more sales for this unique show in the very near future.”
