LONDON: Through a co-promotion deal between Zodiak Kids and Merlin Entertainments, Mister Maker arts and crafts activities will be featured in all 12 Sea Life centers across the U.K. and Ireland.

The four-week event is tied to the U.K.’s May half-term holiday break this year. It is meant to bring together the Sea Life and Mister Maker brands to create a unique experience for children visiting the centers, where they will be able to make sea-themed items to bring home. Mister Maker has created a series of six exclusive instructional videos to help kids learn how to make such arts and crafts marine animals as a paper-plate stingray and a tissue-paper shark.

Jamie Turner, the head of marketing for the U.K. at Merlin Entertainments, remarked: “Mister Maker is a naturally engaging character who just makes arts and crafts easy and fun for every child, whether they have a flair for art or not. The way he introduces each project will also help our younger visitors learn more about the particular sea creatures they will be making, which we hope will encourage many to go on and learn more.”

The Mister Maker series is currently in its seventh season on CBeebies, titled Mister Maker’s Arty Party. The property’s global distribution and licensing rights are handled by Zodiak Kids.
