Mini Pet Pals Heads to China

The animated preschool series Mini Pet Pals, co-produced by Italian pubcaster RAI and Gruppo Alcuni, has landed in China.

Under the deal, the first two seasons of the series—consisting of 104 episodes digitally animated in 2D—will become available from next November on several VOD platforms in China, beginning with iQiyi, as a result of an agreement with Beijing’s JY Animation. There is an option for the subsequent 52 episodes.

Mini Pet Pals is directed by Sergio Manfio and features the protagonists from the Pet Pals property at a younger age. The Mandarin version of Mini Pet Pals was made in China, with the opening theme song remaining in the Italian language. In Italy, the episodes are broadcast on Rai YoYo. Season two is currently in production.
