MIAM! distribution has inked deals in Canada, the Netherlands and Switzerland for the upper preschool comedy The Tinies.
Canada’s WildBrain Television, the Netherlands’ NPO and Switzerland’s RTS have acquired the 52×11-minute series, which takes place in the toy-built world of Attic Town, where toys Ollie and Titus turn their crafting skills into superpowers to solve everyday problems.
These new partnerships add to a growing list, which already includes TV5 Monde, TéléQuebec, RTÉ, Bein, LTV, MiniMini+, ERR and CANAL+ Afrique.
The Tinies is produced by MIAM! animation in co-production with Panique! and Lunanime, with CANAL+, VRT-Ketnet and RTBF as commissioning broadcasters. It is directed by Wassim Boutaleb (Ana Pumpkin, No-No shrinks), with art direction from Yann Boyer (Asterix, Around the World in 80 Days). It is set to premiere in France in October.
The show is produced at MIAM! studio using real-time 3D technology with Unreal Engine, adopting an eco-conscious production pipeline that reduces dependence on large rendering farms and heavy hardware. The studio projects a notably lower carbon footprint of 142 tCO2 for the production of the show.
“At MIAM!, we believe in stories that inspire action,” said Hanna Mouchez, CEO and executive producer at MIAM! animation. “The Tinies is more than a show—it’s an invitation for kids to play, upcycle and see their imagination come to life by crafting their own toys like their heroes. In doing so, they develop self-confidence, problem-solving skills and a mindset for sustainability—values that have resonated with our dear broadcasting partners. We’re thrilled to see the series land on home channels where kids will discover our show and what makes it so special: a mix of comedy, creativity and a vibrant ensemble of toy characters, each bringing their own quirks and talents to their handmade Attic Town.”
“The Tinies is a wonderful addition to our programming lineup,” commented Veronica Manzerolle, director of programming and acquisitions at WildBrain Television. “With its creativity, humor and themes of sustainability, we know Canadian kids and their families will fall in love with the series.”
Marije Brouwer, program Buyer at NPO, said, “The Tinies is a fresh, inventive series that delivers humor, creativity and friendship while championing sustainability, making it a wonderful addition to our programming slate.”
“This show’s mix of comedy, friendship and DIY fun makes it a wonderful addition to our preschool programming slate,” added Saskia Krijnen, children’s programming consultant at RTS.
