MIA Market & Gruppo Alcuni CEO Introduce New Animation Section

This year’s edition of the MIA Market will feature a new animation section, co-coordinated by Gruppo Alcuni’s CEO, Francesco Manfio.

This new addition makes MIA the first Italian market to bring together audiovisual categories like film, drama, documentaries and animation into a single event. The animation section includes the Italian Animation Showcase on October 15, which will feature a presentation of Gruppo Alcuni’s Leo da Vinci 2 and season four of Mini Pet Pals—Start School.

Manfio said, “I’m enthusiastic that we managed to create this trial run animation section with MIA. MIA is a not-to-be-missed event for scripted and unscripted film and drama, and I’m sure the same will be said for animation already by next year. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy this introductory version which, despite the difficult health restrictions, is eagerly taking off.”

Gruppo Alcuni will also partake in the In Conversation With Director Sergio Manfio session on October 16 and the MIA New Generation session on October 17.
