Omens Studios has secured a commission for 60 new episodes of its animated preschool series Counting with Paula from Mediacorp Singapore.

Aimed at children aged 3 to 6, and available in English, Chinese, Spanish and Russian, Counting with Paula combines entertainment and education, drawing on curricula from Singapore’s Ministry of Education and the U.S.’s Common Core. The series follows 6-year-old Paula and her pals as they go on adventures to colorful and exotic places, where they solve problems and make new friends.

Season four of the series recently aired on Mediacorp’s Channel 5 and MeWatch. The 60-episode fifth season of the CGI animated series is currently in production in 4K and is set to be delivered in December 2020. This new deal will bring the total number of episodes available to 300.

In a separate deal, Omens Studios sold the first three seasons of Counting with Paula to TV3 Catalonia in Spain. The series is now available in over 23 territories, airing on a variety of broadcast and OTT platforms, including CCTV and iQiyi in China. Other channels airing the show include Canal+, CJ ENM in South Korea, Amazon Prime Video worldwide, A+ Kids in Israel and JeemTV in the Middle East. Seasons four and five are also now available for global sales.

Chi Sim Tang, CEO of Omens Studios, said: “With much of the world still on lockdown, parents and caregivers are looking for different and engaging ways to educate their children at home. Counting with Paula is fun, creative and educational and is loved by preschoolers around the globe. We’re excited to bring new episodes to Singapore with roll out internationally soon to follow.”
