Genius Picks up YoYo for Kartoon Channel!

Genius Brands International has acquired the rights to YoYo, produced by Italy-based Showlab, for its recently announced Kartoon Channel!

The show centers on 7-year-old twins, Yo and Yo, who in each episode leave their room via their imagination, breaking into fantastic worlds where they overcome difficult situations together. YoYo is slated to debut on Kartoon Channel! during its June launch.

Co-produced with Rai Ragazzi, Grid Animation (Belgium) and Telegael (Ireland), YoYo was visually created by pop artist Ugo Nespolo. Season one of the series, which premiered on Rai Yoyo in Italy, has also been picked up by Clan TV in Spain, DKids in the Middle East, Gloobinho in Brazil, MTVA in Hungary, Amazon Prime for North America and MultiChoice in South Africa, among others. It recently completed its second season, which launched on Rai Yoyo.

Aimed at kids ages 2 to 11, Kartoon Channel! will offer more than 4,000 episodes of entertaining and educational content.
