MBC Group Scores Broadcast, L&M Rights for Wissper

Studio 100 Media and m4e have inked a multiplatform deal with MBC Group covering TV, digital and consumer products rights for the preschool series Wissper in the Middle East and North Africa.

Wissper will begin broadcasting on MBC3 this month. MBC Group will act as the exclusive licensing agent for Wissper in the MENA region. The first rollout of the consumer products program will be in fall 2018 when Simba Toys Middle East launches the toy line.

Also included in the deal are SVOD and AVOD rights on MBC’s platforms. Under the agreement, MBC Group holds the basic cable and satellite free-TV rights, as well as non-exclusive worldwide basic cable and satellite free-TV rights for Wissper, limited to Arabic dubbed language.
