LONDON: INK Global has secured a broadcast deal that will see the animated series Masha’s Tales air across Italy on the preschool channel Rai YoYo.

Masha’s Tales, from Russian studio Animaccord, is a spin-off of the kids’ series Masha and the Bear, which already airs on Rai YoYo. The 26×6-minute show will launch on the Italian preschool channel in the first quarter of this year. In Masha’s Tales, the hyperactive little girl amuses her toys with her favorite stories, adding her own twists to the narratives.

“We’re delighted to be extending our relationship with Rai YoYo so that Italian children will be able to enjoy Masha’s Tales,” said Claus Tømming, the director of INK Global. “It’s a beautiful show that combines wit, warmth and humor and I’m sure it will be a big hit in Italy.”

Masha and the Bear is also broadcast on France TV (France), KiKA (Germany), Turner Cartoonito (the U.K. and Latin America), Turner Boing (Spain), ABC (Australia), Canal Panda (Spain and Portugal), Minimax (Central Europe), Russia 1 (Russia and CIS), SIC (Portugal and Portuguese-speaking Africa) and SpaceToon (the Middle East, North Africa and Malaysia).
