MOSCOW: Animaccord Animation Studio has revealed that Netflix has launched the Masha’s Tales spin-off in several territories, including the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

In addition, Televisa’s Channel 5 in Mexico is slated to begin airing Masha and the Bear. Maca Rotter, the managing director of Televisa Consumer Products (TCP), said: “We are thrilled to have Masha and the Bear as part of the preschool slot of Channel 5. This type of content is rarely seen, actually I don’t remember seeing a property like this, mischievous, hilarious, and of course the most caring and tender beautiful girl…so different yet it engages all ages! I’m far from my preschool age (not so much…) and I can watch it over and over again!”

Meanwhile, Warner Brothers in Italy has reported that Masha and the Bear—Amici per sempre, which was theatrically distributed from December 23 to January 10, performed well for the country, with an audience of 700,000. Thomas J. Ciampa, the VP of distribution and new theatrical ventures at Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia, noted: “The success of Masha and the Bear at movie theaters—made possible thanks to a partnership with Animaccord and Ink—confirms the strength of these characters. We built this great result, thanks both to the children’s amazing participation, some of which were at their very first movie experience, and to a new interactive model in movie theaters.”
